Did you know that you have no more than 15 seconds for your prospective client to make a decision whether to stay or go on your website?

Websites these days need to be simple, clear and precise.  You should not have your front page too busy or cluttered.  Just like personal presentation or walking into a shop.  First impressions last.  If I walk into a shop, I browse around quickly to check and see whether the shop has what I am after, is it clean and pleasant – UNCLUTTERED?  Further on that is service.  If I don’t get served within a few minutes of waiting at the counter, I turn around and walk straight back out and into the next shop.  People don’t have the time to read, or wait. Time is precious nowadays as our lives get busier and busier.    You need to have information right at their finger tips otherwise they will walk (or click) away.

Again if you are hiring a new employee, you make a judgement within the first few seconds on meeting that person.  Are they clean, well presented, friendly?  The same goes with websites (your shopfront – your sales person)  they should be clean, concise, straight to the point, user friendly, with the information right there on what services you can provide.  These are really the keys to someone making a decision whether you can help them with their needs or whether to move onto the next.
